International Joint Project: WRUKSHA
Remember to water your plants! Over the span of 2 months, from December 2020 to January 2021, twelve of our members from the LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School took part in an International Joint Project, named “WRUKSHA”, which was organized by the LEO Club of Moratuwa in Sri Lanka. The event was led by the Project Coordinator, LEO Santtosh Sivaram. The objective of this International Joint Project was to plant over 5000 trees around the world to help face the problem with the lack of trees. WRUKSHA also aimed to raise awareness about the importance of trees in our daily lives. Due to the restrictions of the Conditional Movement Control Order, the LEO members were unable to plant trees together at a designated place. Therefore, each of the twelve LEO members played their part by taking good care of plants that were already planted in their own homes.
