Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School

On the 25th of July 2019, Thursday, the Interact Club of Wesley Methodist School held its 45th Annual Installation at the Dutton Hall from 1540 hours to 1730 hours. The theme chosen for this year was “Ad Meliora”, which means “Towards Better Things” in Latin. This phrase resonates with the club as they constantly encourage others to work towards greater heights. The event began with the singing of the national anthem and the Interact song, followed by the recognition of the Rotarian dignitaries and clubs present. A speech was then given by both a Rotarian and our school principal, Mr. Wong Chee Kheon. The Rotarian began the ceremony of presentation of certificates of appreciation to the outgoing senior members of the club. It was to commemorate their tireless sacrifice and hard work in making this fiscal year a successful one. On the 20th of July 2019, 6 members from the LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School attended the International Understanding Day 2019 organised by the Interact Club of SMK (P) PUDU, with the theme “PLEONEXIA.” This event was held at the Josephine Foss Hall of SMK (P) PUDU from 1200 hours to 1600 hours. The event began with a surprise performance of 24 drums being played outside the hall, followed by the singing of the national anthem and the Interact song. Being the only LEO Club present at the event, our members gave three passionate roars filled with pride and commitment during the roll call. The guests were then presented with an opening dance performance by the Board of Directors followed by a recital from the Chinese Orchestra. Next, there was a speech by a Rotarian and the principal of SMK (P) PUDU as well, both praising the outcome of the club’s hard work.
