Autumn Language Camp for AEIPS of LEOS
On the 29th November 2020, 7 members from the LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School participated in a virtual autumn camp for AEIPS of LEOS, an initiative by the LEO Club of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. LEO Clubs from 9 different countries around the world including Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Nepal, USA, Brazil and Nigeria participated in this online camp. The online camp kick-started with a pledge of allegiance to our respective national flags, followed by the recitation of the LEO pledge. Following the pledges, a video presentation was displayed. After that, guest speeches were made by several LEOs present. The participating clubs were then split into two teams, Summer and Winter, to play a game of spelling bee. Our club was part of Team Summer, however, Team Winter emerged as the winner. The camp was then concluded with felicitations from the participating LEO Clubs, followed by a vote of thanks presented by the organizing club, the LEO club of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. Through this camp, our club members were able to learn more about languages around the world and bond with LEO clubs internationally.
