Pre-Examination Sales

This event was organized by Leo Tan Li May, the funding director of Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School. The objective of this event was to help students in our school to release stress by eating good food so that they can have a clear mind while doing their final revision.

As soon as the proposal of the event was approved by the principal, Madam Chia Loy Tian, preparations took place. Several Leos were assigned certain foods to bake and prepare. For example, Leo Yeong Lin Han was in charge of preparing the cupcakes. All the respective Leos did according to the tasks assigned to them. The work was delegated quite well as everyone had their own task to do. The Leos were briefed a few days before the sales and they were told of their respective duties. A leader was assigned for each duty to keep the money box.

On the day of sale, the drinks were mixed in the morning but the ice was only mixed during the time of the sales. This was done so that the drinks would not be diluted. The drinks container was very convenient and did not cause a mess. As a result, the sales booth was very clean throughout all the sales and it attracted more people including the teachers and office staff. Several Leos were given permission to leave class early to set up the sales booth which was outside the homework room, in the canteen. The sale catered to both lower and upper secondary students during lunch and break. Response from the upper secondary students was decent but responses from the lower secondary students were far better. However, the pizza was the bestseller for both portions of the sale.

The clean up for the sale went smoothly. Most of it consists of throwing rubbish away and cleaning the containers. On the second day, the Leos took down the poster after our weekly Leo meeting.

Mock cheque presentation session. On the 24th of March 2018 (Saturday), the Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School held its annual charity event - which was Charity Night, from 7:30p.m. to 11:15 p.m. It was hosted at the Manhattan II ballroom in Berjaya Times Square Hotel, which had been rented prior to the event in order to serve as the main event area. The theme for this year's Charity Night was "Luminescence". The main purpose of the event was to raise funds to help the blind community, as all profits from this event were donated to various blind organisations and homes. 46th MD LEO Forum

We won some awards! Ten members from the LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School had attended the 46th MD LEO Forum from the 25th to the 27th of May 2018 at Trove Hotel, Johor Bahru. The theme for this year’s forum was “Joint, Humanity, Balance”, which aimed to encourage joint learning through experience, empower compassion for a better society and equality in the society by fulfilling our own voluntary services. Pyjamas Party. The forum began with an opening ceremony. Then, all LEOs were briefed about some home and safety rules. This was followed by an ice breaking session and cultural activity, where the LEOs were separated into groups of eight and each explored their creativity in decorating a batik cloth. Charity Night 2023: Hearts VS Spades

  On December 15, 2023, Friday, the LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School hosted its first Charity Night event in 5 years at HGH Convention Centre Sentul. The primary objective of this event was to raise funds for the community of people struggling with diabetes and to raise awareness about their challenges. Additionally, it aimed to instil a sense of teamwork, responsibility, and devotion among LEO members towards the club. The theme for this year’s event, ‘Hearts Vs Spades’, symbolises the relentless battle waged by warriors worldwide against the dreaded adversary of diabetes.  Diabetes, a chronic affliction characterised by high sugar levels in the bloodstream, is no ordinary foe. As we unite under this captivating emblem, we shine a spotlight on the valiant struggles of those grappling to stabilise their blood glucose levels and continue to live another day.
