OSEAL LEO Forum 2019


On the 11th of January, five members from the LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School attended the Fellowship Night of the 2nd OSEAL Forum 2019. It was held at the KDU Glenmarie Campus in the Multipurpose Hall and themed “Back to the 50’s”. The event began from 7.30 p.m. to 11.00 p.m.


During the Fellowship Night, performers such as Insomniaks and NYK came to perform some hits from the 50’s and also some of their own music. Food and photo booths were also set up so that participants could enjoy themselves. Many LEOs and Lions got together to enjoy the night as well as to know each other better.


Our members are excited for the forum!

On the 12th and 13th of January 2019, two of our members attended the OSEAL LEO Forum. It was themed “Changing Perspectives, Expanding Horizons” and many LEOs and Lions came together from multiple countries to support this event.


The event included a teambuilding session carried out by Karmen from Teen Edge followed by a very special lunch which required all participants to eat while being blindfolded. The lunch emphasized on one of the key service areas of the Lions Club, which was vision. Besides the eye-opening meal, several speakers shared their stories and experiences during the “Inspirational Figures” session. They were namely MJ Fashion Boy, Rachel and Lion Alan. It was an honour getting to listen to an insight of their roller-coaster lives. Besides that, interesting workshops were conducted by some speakers which touched on topics such as creativity and innovation, community service projects and much more.


This year, the Banquet Night was themed “The Greatest Show” and was held in collaboration with Miss Amazing Malaysia. Dance performances and the judging for the contestants of Miss Amazing Malaysia was held all night while guests enjoy their meal.


The event closed with a grand closing ceremony. Nonetheless, it was truly a successful event and the LEOs who attended surely came back with great experiences and much better knowledge about other LEOs and Lions all around the world.

Mock cheque presentation session. On the 24th of March 2018 (Saturday), the Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School held its annual charity event - which was Charity Night, from 7:30p.m. to 11:15 p.m. It was hosted at the Manhattan II ballroom in Berjaya Times Square Hotel, which had been rented prior to the event in order to serve as the main event area. The theme for this year's Charity Night was "Luminescence". The main purpose of the event was to raise funds to help the blind community, as all profits from this event were donated to various blind organisations and homes. The project also aspired to educate and raise awareness about blindness in our society today. The theme was chosen to enlighten the public on the challenges faced by the millions of blind people all over the world. 46th MD LEO Forum

We won some awards! Ten members from the LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School had attended the 46th MD LEO Forum from the 25th to the 27th of May 2018 at Trove Hotel, Johor Bahru. The theme for this year’s forum was “Joint, Humanity, Balance”, which aimed to encourage joint learning through experience, empower compassion for a better society and equality in the society by fulfilling our own voluntary services. Pyjamas Party. The forum began with an opening ceremony. Then, all LEOs were briefed about some home and safety rules. This was followed by an ice breaking session and cultural activity, where the LEOs were separated into groups of eight and each explored their creativity in decorating a batik cloth. At 7.00 p.m., all LEOs gathered back in the ballroom, dressed in their fanciest pyjamas for fellowship night, themed “Pyjamas Party”. Charity Night 2023: Hearts VS Spades

  On December 15, 2023, Friday, the LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School hosted its first Charity Night event in 5 years at HGH Convention Centre Sentul. The primary objective of this event was to raise funds for the community of people struggling with diabetes and to raise awareness about their challenges. Additionally, it aimed to instil a sense of teamwork, responsibility, and devotion among LEO members towards the club. The theme for this year’s event, ‘Hearts Vs Spades’, symbolises the relentless battle waged by warriors worldwide against the dreaded adversary of diabetes.  Diabetes, a chronic affliction characterised by high sugar levels in the bloodstream, is no ordinary foe. As we unite under this captivating emblem, we shine a spotlight on the valiant struggles of those grappling to stabilise their blood glucose levels and continue to live another day.
