LEO Farewell 2019: Lights! Camera! LEO!

Our senior members getting blindfolded for a surprise! On the 31st of August 2019, the LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School held its 17th Annual Farewell at Skyark Event Space from 2.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. The theme chosen this year was “Lights, Camera, LEO!” The senior members were portrayed as movie stars and celebrities in a gig, from only observing the club from the outside to becoming members of the LEO Club that experienced the ups and downs of the LEO journey until they became great club members that contributed to the many successful events. This event is like an after-party to say goodbye to the seniors that played their part in the movie and that the show will go on in the hands of the junior members. This event was organised by the Organising Chairperson, LEO Wong Yen Ming, who was assisted by the Assistant Organising Chairperson, LEO Tan Cheng Ping together with the committee members LEO Tan Yu Shen, LEO Lee Eryn and LEO Teoh Zhi Yuan. Joint Installation/LEO School 2019

On the 18th of August 2019, 4 of our members and our Board of Directors attended the Joint Installation and LEO School held at SJK(C) Chee Wen. The theme of the event was L.O.V.E and aimed to impart the message of “Leading with Love, Optimism, Value and Empowerment”. The Joint Installation was held from 9.00 am to 12.30 pm, while LEO School was held from 1.00 pm to 6.00 pm. 4 of our members were given the opportunity to give a singing performance at the Joint Installation event. The singers were LEO Tan Yu Shen, LEO Kho Kai Ting and LEO Cheah Zhi Xin. A melodious guitar accompaniment was played by LEO Aamax Lee. They performed two songs, which were “I See the Light” from the film Tangled, and “Don’t Give Up On Me” by Andy Grammer. Both songs aimed to encourage the LEOs as well as Lions present in the audience to stand united and serve with their whole heart.
