Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School

On the 4th of July 2018, the LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School held its 16th Annual Installation at the Wesley Hall from 3.40 p.m. to 5.10 p.m. The theme chosen for this year was “In Flamma Ignis” which means “From Spark to Flame”, symbolising the junior LEO members who are ready to grow and ignite to serve the community with a passion that remains burning in their hearts forever. This event was led by the Organizing Chairperson, LEO Lan Yuen Qi, who was assisted by the Assistant Organizing Chairperson, LEO Chew Jun Ho together with committee members, LEO Woong Jia Hui, LEO Lye Ming-Rong and LEO Lum Ting Fang. From the 30th of May to the 1st of June (Wednesday to Friday), the Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School held a food sale in conjunction with Friendship Day, during both upper and lower secondary break and lunch times. This event was mainly organised by the juniors of the club. The event was headed by Organising Chairperson, Leo Cheng Lyn Yi, with the help of her Assistant Organising Chairperson, Leo Chew Jun Ho, and the committee which consisted of Leo Chau Hui Qing, Leo Lan Yuen Qi, and Leo Nicole Soong Chor Theng. The main objective of conducting this event was to emphasize the importance of friendship in our daily lives. Besides that, this project was also aimed to raise funds for the Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School's future community service projects and activities. On the 4th of April 2018, the Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School held its annual International Relationship Day. The theme for this year's I.R. Day was "Revel in the Rhythm". The main purpose of this project was to show the audience how music and dance can unite the world as well as allow the audience to witness the magnificence of the music industry which undoubtedly connects us all no matter the age. This event was also aimed to deepen the friendship between Leo Club members of our school and Leo Club members of other schools attending this event. This year, I.R. Day was spearheaded by our I.R. Mock cheque presentation session. On the 24th of March 2018 (Saturday), the Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School held its annual charity event - which was Charity Night, from 7:30p.m. to 11:15 p.m. It was hosted at the Manhattan II ballroom in Berjaya Times Square Hotel, which had been rented prior to the event in order to serve as the main event area. The theme for this year's Charity Night was "Luminescence". The main purpose of the event was to raise funds to help the blind community, as all profits from this event were donated to various blind organisations and homes. The project also aspired to educate and raise awareness about blindness in our society today. The theme was chosen to enlighten the public on the challenges faced by the millions of blind people all over the world.
