School Service 2015 – Be(you)tiful

On the 14 th and 17 th of September, the Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School carried out a school service project themed "Be(you)tiful". The objectives of this event are to allow the students to understand that we should not let society’s standards of perfections define who we are, and that being ourselves is the most beautiful quality we can achieve. The project was organised by the Community Service Director, Leo Natalie Ling Sze Jane, together with the assistant organising chairperson, Leo Amanda Chan Boyee and Leo Martin Lye Jun Wei. The committee members were Leo Ching Shu Wen, Leo Lim Sin Ye and Leo Tan Xiao Wei. On the day of the project, announcement regarding this event was made. The activities were held during the lower secondary and upper secondary break and lunch. Several members on duty were assigned to set up the statement board and voting board. Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School's Annual Farewell 2015 - Epilogue: PARADOX

On the 21st of August 2015 which was a Friday, the Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School held it’s annual Farewell at a bungalow in Taman U Thant. 81 Leos consisting of 39 junior Leos and 41 senior Leos alongside with 3 faculty advisors, namely Miss Low Fee Ngoo, Miss Manusha Nair and Encik Syaiful Rijal were present. The event was also attended by the Secretary of the Lions Club of Ampang, Lion Eleesse Lai. This year, the organising committee consisted of 5 junior Leos, led by the organising chairperson Leo Natalie Ling, assisted by the assistant organising chairperson, Leo Nigel Ng, and the committee members, namely Leo Genevieve Lee, Leo Lee Ming Xuan and Leo Yee Shien Mun. The theme that they decided on for this event was “Epilogue: PARADOX”. Pre-Exam Sales 2015

On the 11th & 12th of August 2015 (Tuesday and Wednesday), the Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School held its’ annual Pre-Exam Sales during both upper and lower secondary break and lunch. The event was organised by Leo Lim Hui Chuang, the Funding Director along with his Assistant Organising Chairperson, Leo Goh Wei Chen and the committee which consisted with Leo Ch'ng Siew Kheng, Leo Samuel Ng and Leo Chay Jian Shen. The objective of this sale was to sell stress-relief food so that the students would feel relax and be able to study well for their upcoming exam. Food like jelly, cream puff and brownies were sold along with a drink which was mango juice with nata de coco in it. On the day of the sale, the jellies were stored in the refrigerator of the canteen after having permission granted by one of the canteen workers. Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School’s 13th Annual Installation - Rise Over All Resistance

On the 24th of July 2015, Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School held its 13th Annual Installation from 3.15 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. at the chapel of Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur. The theme for this year’s Installation is “Rise Over All Resistance”.  This year, the organizing committee consisted of five junior Leo members led by the organizing chairperson, Leo Chan Xin Yi with her assistant, Leo Yap Jing Yi. The com mittee members were Leo Shweta Eliza Zachariah, Leo Lim You Xin and Leo Ng Xiu Yun. The event started off at 3.45 p.m. with the meeting called to order by the Presiding Officer, President of Lions Club of Ampang, Lion Joseph Thong Wai Choong. It was then followed by the singing of the national anthem, Negaraku and Leo pledge which was led by the incoming president, Leo Lai Yan Sheng. International Relationship Day 2015

The Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School had held its 12 th International Relationship Day (I.R. Day) on the 10 th of April 2015. The theme for this year’s I.R. Day is ‘Cinéma Épique’ which means ‘Epic Cinema’ when translated to English. The main purpose of this event is to strengthen the friendships between our Leo members and members from other organisations such as the Leo Clubs and Interact Clubs. The event was also aimed to promote international relationship between our club member and people from other countries. This purpose driven event is purely inspired by movies of all sorts, from the comical Chaplin masterpieces to the heart-rending indie films of today. Through this event, we hope to open the eyes of the audience, rendering them with a feeling that there are more to movies rather than being just a simple means of entertainment. Amazing Race 2015

On the 28 th of March 2015, the Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School organised its annual funding project – Amazing Race. The event started from 7.00 a.m. and ended around 1.00 p.m.. A total of 123 teams consisting of 369 students of Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur participated in this year’s Amazing Race. The organising committee for this year’s Amazing Race was chosen back in November 2014. The Funding Director of Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School, Leo Ng Cal-Vin was the Organising Chairperson of this large scale funding project. He was assisted by the two Assistant Organising Chairpersons, Leo Chia Ying Yan and Leo Debbee Chang Keen Bee, as well as his fellow dedicated committee members, Leo Tan Bee Bee, Leo Ho Yanru and Leo Jonathan Chew Jia Wei. As soon as the organising committee was formed, ideas were generated through several brainstorming sessions. A week later, the main idea for the gameplay and storyline for Amazing Race 2015 was set.
