Virtual LEO Camp 2021: LEO-saurus

The LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School had our annual LEO Camp virtually from 5.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. on the 19th February 2021. The main objectives of the event were to encourage the members to enjoy themselves and improve relations among all club members, especially between the senior and junior LEO members. 

The theme of the camp was “LEO-saurus”. The word "LEO-saurus" portrays the LEO members as a species of dinosaurs that roar the loudest. The dinosaurs left a long legacy which is what we as LEO members should do for the club. By looking up to the dinosaurs, we should unite together to achieve greater heights for the club.


At 5.30 p.m. on Friday, participants gathered together on Microsoft Teams in their respective teams and our event started off with the opening ceremony. It was an honour to have Lion Joseph Thong and Lion Elessee Lai to grace the opening ceremony of our event. Lion Joseph Thong also gave a speech where he praised the works of our club and encouraged our LEO members to continue achieving greater heights for the LEO Club. 


Who doesn't love games?
Following that was the icebreaker session which aimed to make the participants feel more energetic and allow them to interact and bond with their group members better. After that, we had our main game, the BINGO Challenge from 6.35 p.m. to 9.15 p.m. with a dinner session slotted in between. There were a total of 25 boxes in the BINGO grid and each box represented a game. Ultimately, the goal of the challenge was to cross out at least 5 lines in the BINGO grid provided. We had exciting games like "Hey, Google", "Word Spy", "Tongue Twisters" and many more. 

As the camp neared its end, we had a short sharing session among the group members, and at 9:30 p.m. the participants were allowed to leave the event. Overall, the camp was a huge success and the LEO members were able to enjoy themselves as well as improve relations as a club.

Day well spent! On the 20th of April 2019, 11 members of the LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School participated in the Eyeshade Walk & Run event as volunteers that was held at Jalan P5 @ PICC, Putrajaya from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m. This event was organized by the Malaysian Foundation For The Blind (YOBM). The purpose of this event was to raise funds for the National Institute of Assistive Technology (NIAT).      Our members had fun helping out. LEO members reached the venue at 5.30 a.m. and were provided with the event T-shirts to change into. At 7 a.m., all the volunteers were given a short briefing and were sent to their respective checkpoints of the route to facilitate the movement of the run. 21st Annual Farewell: Back to the Early Days

On Saturday, July 13, 2024, the LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School hosted its 21st Annual LEO Farewell event at The Club - Bukit Utama. This event celebrated the dedication and hard work of the graduating LEO seniors over their two years of service and offered a heartfelt farewell. The theme for this year’s event, "Back to the Early Days," symbolised the break the seniors would take after completing their journey as LEO members. We aimed to give the seniors a well-deserved chance to relax and enjoy their final LEO event before embarking on the next chapter of their lives. Participants were encouraged to dress in semi-formal attire inspired by a childhood picture of themselves, adding a nostalgic and playful touch to the celebration. Charity Night 2023: Hearts VS Spades

  On December 15, 2023, Friday, the LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School hosted its first Charity Night event in 5 years at HGH Convention Centre Sentul. The primary objective of this event was to raise funds for the community of people struggling with diabetes and to raise awareness about their challenges. Additionally, it aimed to instil a sense of teamwork, responsibility, and devotion among LEO members towards the club. The theme for this year’s event, ‘Hearts Vs Spades’, symbolises the relentless battle waged by warriors worldwide against the dreaded adversary of diabetes.  Diabetes, a chronic affliction characterised by high sugar levels in the bloodstream, is no ordinary foe.
