Minor Community Service Project: Puppy’s Loving Home

Community service time!

On the 20th March 2021, Saturday, nine of our members and Mr. Naresh, our Faculty Advisor, from the LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School visited Puppy’s Loving Home to carry out our Minor Community Service Project from 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. The event was led by the Organizing Chairperson, LEO Santtosh Sivaram. The objective of this Minor Community Service Project was to fulfill one of the global causes of the LEO Club, which is to help take care of the environment that the dogs in Puppy’s Loving Home live in. This project was also aimed to further instill a sense of responsibility and awareness towards animal abandonment amongst the LEO members.

The members and Mr. Naresh set off to Puppy’s Loving Home at 8.45 a.m. and arrived at their designated destination at 9.30 a.m. Upon their arrival, the members were graciously welcomed by a large group of dogs at the front gate. The owner of Puppy’s Loving Home then brought the members on a tour around the dog shelter. The members learnt a lot about the condition of the dogs in Puppy’s Loving Home and it was brought to their attention that most of the dogs there were either abused, abandoned or suffering from skin diseases.

Although the members had a great time volunteering at Puppy’s Loving Home while playing with the dogs there, all good things had to come to an end. Before departing back to Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur (International), the members and Mr. Naresh took a group picture to end their Minor Community Service Project.
