Mini Fun Fair 2023

On the 25th of November 2023, the LEO Club and International Club of Wesley Methodist School collaborated to organise a Mini Fun Fair, in conjunction with the Info Day of Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur (Private). This event was led by the Organizing Chairperson, LEO Tan Kai Yang, the Funding Director, who was assisted by his Assisting Organising Chairpersons, LEO Triss Tan Sze Shan, who is also the Assistant Funding Director, and LEO Gwi Yan Xin, together with their committee members, LEO Tan Sze Xuan, LEO Coehn Yong Wai and LEO Yap Ru Wuay. T he event began at 8.00a.m, with game and food stations that had been set up the night before in the Basketball Court and Volleyball Court. Among the fun fair games available for participants to try were Plinko, Ring Toss, Bounce Bingo, Balloon Darts, Bull’s Eye, Knock Em’ Down, Don’t Buzz the Wire, Throw It Right, Basin Ball, Ping Pong Toss, Epic Shoot, Candy Guess and Fish the Duck. LEO Camp 2023: World Vision 30 Hours Famine Challenge ‘Strike for Hunger’

From 3.30p.m on the 29th September 2023 to 11.00p.m on the 30th September 2023, the  LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School held its LEO Camp 2023, themed ‘World Vision 30 Hours Famine Challenge: Strike for Hunger’. The main objectives of the event were to raise awareness about the hardships of poverty and hunger faced by millions of people globally. The event also aimed to encourage the members to enjoy themselves and improve relations among all club members, especially between the senior and junior LEO members. The participants were gathered at the Wesley Hall at 3:45p.m and we started off the event with the opening ceremony. It was an honour to have Mdm. Gan Swit Peng to grace the opening ceremony of our event, as well as a representative of the World Vision organisation, Ms. Tian Choon Ling (Ninian), who also gave a speech to encourage our LEO members to persevere throughout the challenge. Minor Funding Event 2023: Let’s Yum-Cha

From the 13th September 2023 to the 18th September 2023, the LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School held its first Minor Funding Project for the fiscal year 2023/2024. This event consisted of a physical food sale followed by 3 simple game stations - Shooter’s Hideout, which was based on basketball, Football Crossbar Challenge, which was based on football, and the Ping Pong Cup Challenge, which was based on Ping-Pong. The theme for this event is ‘Let’s Yum-Cha’. Through this event, we aim to sell cheap and delicious food and beverages to fellow students. At the same time, we want students to have fun and interact with one another, especially after coming back from the Year End Holidays, while having their meals and trying out our game stations, all of which will create a lively atmosphere that will surely reinvigorate student’s spirits as they adjust back to life in school. Induction Ceremony 2023

  On the 6th of September 2023, Wednesday, the LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School organised an induction ceremony at the Wesley Hall from 4.00p.m to 6.00p.m. The objective of this event was to formally introduce the newly recruited members to the club and break the ice. It was also organised to give new members a positive impression of the LEO group and to inculcate in them a sense of belonging to the club. This event was led by the Organising Chairperson, LEO Sarah Chee Jie along with the Assistant Organising Chairperson, LEO Lim Tian Xin. The event started with the Vice President, LEO Ilana Lau Ruo Min, giving an inspiring speech to our fellow members, sharing about her experiences as a LEO member for the past year and how the club has helped her in several aspects as a student. Then, a quiz was conducted to help new members learn about the club on a deeper level. 20th Annual Farewell: Hawaiian Luau

On the 31st July 2023, Monday, the LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School held its 20th Annual LEO Farewell event at Royal Lake Club in Taman Tasik Perdana to celebrate all the hard work, sweat, toil and tears the graduating LEO seniors have given to the club throughout their two years of service, as well as to say one last goodbye. The theme for this year’s event, ‘Hawaiian Luau’, depicts the break the seniors were going to take after their journey as LEO members of the LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School comes to an end. In this event, we hope to give the seniors the time off they deserve to relax and have fun in their final LEO event before they venture off onto the next chapter of their lives. The participants were requested to dress themselves up in Hawaiian-themed fashion clothes to not only match the theme, but to also fill the room with their vibrant, cheerful colours. 20th Annual Installation: Aeterna Sidera

On the 25th of July 2023, Wednesday, the LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School held its 20th Annual Installation at the Wesley Hall from 4.00p.m to 6.00p.m. This event was held to mark the official retirement of senior members after 2 years of service, and formally install the junior members and the Board of Directors. The theme for this year was ‘Aeterna Sidera’, which translates to ‘eternal stars’ in Latin. Like the countless stars that dot the night sky, each and every one of the LEO members fill the void of blue and black with their own unique stories. Coming together as one, they form a constellation that shines brighter than ever before, symbolizing the new and unified LEO club. This theme aims to encourage all LEO members to come together and reunite as one, as we strive together to reach even greater heights for the club in the upcoming fiscal year.
