Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School Annual Farewell 2014

On the 2nd of August 2014, Saturday, the Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School held its annual farewell at Furama Hotel Bukit Bintang. 67 Leos consisting of 44 juniors and 23 seniors alongside with 2 faculty advisors, namely Miss Low Fee Ngoo and Miss Lavanya Silvarajan attended this event. There were 4 Lions present at the event as well, including the President of Lions Club of Ampang, Lion Natalie Gan, and the Leo advisors, Lion Tan Poh Ling, Lion Kevin Kiew and Lion Shyan Wong.          This year, the farewell organizing commitee was made up of five junior Leo members, led by the organizing chairperson, Leo Jessica Gui Cheng Kim with her theme “Revoleotionary Roarers”. Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School 12th Annual Installation

The Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School held its 12th Annual Installation on the 23rd July 2014, from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm at the school's chapel with the theme "The Roars Live On". The committee of the 12th Annual Installation consisted of organising chairperson, Leo Kok Jia Yunn, assistant organising chairperson, Leo Tan Hooi Xin, and committee members, Leo Wong Zheng Qie, Leo Ong Kye Ying and Leo Ng Meng Jing.         On the day of the event, the incoming Board of Directors, the committee members and the refreshment team were excused after lunch at 1.50 pm to prepare for the event. The refreshment team prepared the food and drinks at the domestic science lab while the others were preparing and setting up the chapel for the upcoming event. A Visit to Rumah Charis (Home for the Children)

On the 12 th June 2014, 63 members of the Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School and 2 teacher advisors went to Rumah Charis (Home For The Children) which is a home for mostly underprivileged children and some old folks in Taman Yarl for our community service project. Before the trip, all Leo members gathered at the school compound at 8 am and a short briefing was given about the trip. The members were asked to sit according to groups before the briefing. After taking attendance and the briefing, the members boarded the bus at 8.30 am. The Leo members reached Rumah Charis at 9 am. Ms. Suzanne, the person-in-charge of Rumah Charis, greeted us and gave a short briefing to us.             After that, we collected items such as shampoo, facial cleanser, oyster sauce and many more from the members as donation to the home. Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School 11th International Relationship Day

The Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School held its 11th annual International Relationship Day on the 4th April 2014. The theme for this year is 'Mirror Mirror on the Wall'. which derives from the famous German fairy tale 'Snow White'. The purpose of this event is to give people a deeper understanding towards folktales as well as their origins from different countries. This year, we managed to amass a total of RM 7560 with a number of over 500 attending guests. At 3.00 pm, registration was open and ushers were sent out to their respective locations to usher incoming guests to the school hall for the event, The doors were officially opened at 3.30 pm, as guests swarmed into the hall to attend the event, which consisted of students, school staff, Leos and Lions alike. The guest of honour for this event was none other than our school principal, Madam Chia Loy Tian.
