Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School 11th International Relationship Day

The Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School held its 11th annual International Relationship Day on the 4th April 2014. The theme for this year is 'Mirror Mirror on the Wall'. which derives from the famous German fairy tale 'Snow White'. The purpose of this event is to give people a deeper understanding towards folktales as well as their origins from different countries. This year, we managed to amass a total of RM 7560 with a number of over 500 attending guests. At 3.00 pm, registration was open and ushers were sent out to their respective locations to usher incoming guests to the school hall for the event, The doors were officially opened at 3.30 pm, as guests swarmed into the hall to attend the event, which consisted of students, school staff, Leos and Lions alike. Charity Night 2014: Suit Up, Serve Up

After months of continuous effort and sufficient preparations, the day had finally arrived for the LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School's 4th annual Charity Dinner held on the 28th of March 2014. This project served as a large scale community service project to amass donations for unfortunate and unprivileged children. This year, 320 people attended this event, mainly consisting of parents, teaching staff, Lions, and students from our schools as well as our friends from outside the compounds of WMS. Our Guest-of-Honour for the evening was our very own Chairman from the Board of Management of WMS, Dato' Chin Lean Keat. The event was also graced with the full support of ten representatives sent by the Lions Club of Ampang, which is our sponsoring Lions Club as well as three out of four of our beneficiary organisations, Shelter Home For Children, Kasih Foundation and Living Hope Foundation. Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School Amazing Race - The Last Cast

The race was held on Saturday, March 22 th 2014. All the participants gathered in school. First, registration took place as the participants met with their respective groups, collected their goodie bags and changed into the event T-shirt. Participants all looked excited and eager to start the race. They all wanted a shot to win the amazing prizes in store. After registration, participants gathered in the assembly ground for the opening ceremony. First, a speech was given by the guest of honour, which was our vice principal, Madam Pearl Moses. Madam Pearl reminded the participants to ensure safety as their priority and advised them not to run during the race. She also prayed for the participants and for the smoothness of the event. Then, a briefing of the race was done by the organising committee. We briefed the participants on the rules and regulations of the race, and answered any questions or doubts from the participants. Leo Club Orientation Day

The Orientation Day of Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School was held on the 22nd January 2014. All the members gathered in front of the chapel at 3.20pm sharp. Attendance was then taken. After the preparation was done by the committee, the members entered the chapel to get ready for the orientation. The Lions as well as members from Leo Club of HELP College were then ushered by the president as well as the organizing chairperson to the chapel. All the members stood up when the Lions enter the chapel to welcome their arrival. The event started as soon as the lions had taken their seats. The event began with the roll call. The emcees then invited Lion Foo See Yeow to call the meeting to order. After that, Lion Foo See Yeow began to give his speech about the Leo club to the new members. I am so Malaysian because....

On the 2nd of September, the Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur organized a school service project entitled ‘I AM SO MALAYSIAN BECAUSE..….’ in conjunction with Malaysia Day on the 16th of September. Students were asked to complete the sentence to why they think they are so Malaysian. The project’s objective was to create awareness upon the importance of a harmonious country and to raise the patriotic spirit among the students of WMSKL. Before the event, a few of our members decorated two black boards at lower secondary block. Throughout the event, students are only able to write their opinions during their respective break and lunch. Our members took shifts to take charge of the board and made sure the students did not vandalize the board. Pre-Examination Sales

This event was organized by Leo Tan Li May, the funding director of Leo Club of Wesley Methodist School. The objective of this event was to help students in our school to release stress by eating good food so that they can have a clear mind while doing their final revision. As soon as the proposal of the event was approved by the principal, Madam Chia Loy Tian, preparations took place. Several Leos were assigned certain foods to bake and prepare. For example, Leo Yeong Lin Han was in charge of preparing the cupcakes. All the respective Leos did according to the tasks assigned to them. The work was delegated quite well as everyone had their own task to do. The Leos were briefed a few days before the sales and they were told of their respective duties. A leader was assigned for each duty to keep the money box. On the day of sale, the drinks were mixed in the morning but the ice was only mixed during the time of the sales.
