Annual School Service 2019: Car Wash & Food Sale
On the 11th November 2019, Monday, to the 14th November 2019, Thursday, the LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School held their annual School Service after school from 3.40 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. In conjunction to the free Car Wash for all teachers and staff, the club also organized a food sale. The main objective of the event was for the members of the LEO Club to express their gratitude and appreciation towards the teachers and staff for all the hard work they have put into ensuring that the students receive the best education in the safest and cleanest learning environment. The event also aimed to allow the LEO members to gain a new set of skills by learning to wash multiple cars efficiently with the help of teamwork. This event was led by the Organizing Chairperson, LEO Teoh Zhi Yuan, who was assisted by the Assistant Organizing Chairperson, LEO Tan Jia Xi together with committee members LEO Ng Jia Qi, LEO Aamax Lee Jun Yu and LEO Lim You Chuen.
The majority of our members were assigned duties to wash the teachers’ cars throughout the week as it was a task that required the teamwork of many members. Different equipment were set up by the committee-in-charge and used to clean the cars. Some of the equipment included car washing soap, a hose, the members’ pails and their cloths to dry the cars. It was indeed an exhausting job but the members managed to clean the cars till they shined.
In conjunction to the car wash, a food sale was also organized by the LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School. A wide variety of food such as nuggets, which were our bestsellers, fries, A&W floats, nachos and many more were sold to the student body, staff and teachers. The prices of the food were affordable as they ranged from RM2 to RM4. The committee members worked hard to prepare the food sold while the LEO members managed to promote and finish selling the food everyday.
Overall, the event was a successful one as the teachers and staff were satisfied with our car washing service and the LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School managed to express our gratitude towards their efforts. The members of the LEO Club also managed to gain new skills and bond amongst each other. We sincerely thank all the teachers, staff and students for their support and the members for their hard work and dedication.
