Pre-Exam Fun Fair 2019: Euphoria Express
On the 24th September 2019 to the 28th September 2019, the LEO of Wesley Methodist School held its first minor funding event of the fiscal year 2019/2020 – Pre-Exam LEO Fun Fair. The theme of the event was “Euphoria Express.” Euphoria is a feeling of intense excitement and happiness. Therefore, the LEO Club of Wesley Methodist School welcomed our school’s very own students to hop on this Euphoria Express for a quick getaway from their intense studying every break and lunch at Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur (International). This event was led by the Organising Chairperson, LEO Siah Wei Chen, who was assisted by the Assistant Organising Chairperson, LEO Chow Ee Jun, along with committee members LEO Evelyn Fong Li Tien, LEO Loh Xi-Aan and LEO Jourdyn Chor Shi-Jun.
Food sales were held throughout the event with a wide variety of food such as spicy ramen, Indomie, cornflakes cookies, brownies and many more sold at our school canteen. Drinks such as pearl milk tea and A&W floats were up for grabs too. Food prices ranged from RM2 to RM4. The bestseller of the food sales was the spicy ramen which sold out the fastest throughout the event. Every member of the club was assigned to prepare one type of food for each day.
Apart from scrumptious foods being sold, game booths were also set up in the area between Block A&D to raise the atmosphere of the fun fair. Mini games such as “Jumpshot”, “River Pong”, “Target Practice”, “Chops(Tic) Tac Toe” and more were available for students to play during their recess. Prizes such as candy and food were given to all the winners of each game as rewards. The highlight of the game booths was “Jumpshot” which had a participation fee of RM2. Students were given one minute to shoot in as many hoops as possible to win the game. The top three scorers of the game were rewarded.
Overall, the event was a successful one as we managed to raise funds for the club. It also achieved its aim which was to relieve the students’ stress before their upcoming year end examination. We would like to thank all the students for their support and our members for their dedication.
